7:00 to 8:30 PM - Comedy, music, improv, and paddle raise hijinks featuring PHAME’s Almost PHAMEous comedy troupe!

What's in store?

A glorious mashup of improv, live music, and the kind of joyful chaos that only happens when talented people stop worrying about "the right way" to do comedy and just go for it. Come LOL with us and help us hit our $35,000 fundraising goal to power PHAME's programming for artists with disabilities. 

Why This Night Matters 

In improv, there's a golden rule: "yes, and…" You take what's offered, and you build on it, bigger and better. PHAMEously Funny runs on that same energy, because we believe art is for everyone, and turning big dreams into reality takes one key addition: funding. (Yes, and… that's where you come in.) 

This year, PHAME has some huge scenes to set: the triumphant return of our big summer production, major construction to make room for more classes and students, and an exciting rebrand — new merch alert! — with plenty more waiting in the wings. 

None of it happens without an audience willing to show up and chip in. So, grab a seat, bring your best laugh, and help us hit our fundraising goal at PHAMEously Funny. Yes, and let's make it happen.

🙌 Paddle Raise: Raise It for PHAME 

Help us build a future where artists with disabilities thrive! During the event, you’ll have the chance to raise your paddle in support of PHAME’s programs, starting at $2,446 — a nod to the construction improvements we are doing at the address of PHAME’s new permanent home. Whether you give $50, $250 or $2,446, every gift fuels PHAME’s accessible arts education and helps us settle into our new space. Get ready to raise your paddle and raise the roof! 

🎤 Bid for a Ballad 

Be the star of the show — or nominate someone special! The highest bidder will receive a custom improv song performed live by Almost PHAMEous. It’s heartfelt, hilarious, and totally unforgettable. Use the bidder sheet at the PHAME table. The top bidder will be announced at 8:15pm!  

💬 Line for a Laugh 

Submit a line, phrase, or prompt to inspire the cast during their “Line for Laughs” segment! Prompts will be incorporated during that segment by Almost PHAMEous. It’s only $15 to submit, and for $25 you can get a guaranteed shout-out!

🐶 Meet Our Resident Psychic (Who Happens to Have Four Paws) 

Ever wonder what your future holds? So does our dog fortune teller, mostly because she's very easily distracted by squirrels. But when she's locked in, she's locked in — paw on the crystal ball, ears perked, ready to deliver your fortune with the gravity of an oracle and the enthusiasm of, well, a dog who just heard the word "walk." 

Will you find love? Will you get that promotion? Will you finally use that gift card from three birthdays ago? Ask her anything. Her answers may not always make sense, but they will always come with a wagging tail and zero judgment — which, frankly, is more than most fortune tellers offer. 

Stop by, get your fortune told, and maybe sneak in a belly rub while you're at it. (She won't mind. In fact, it may improve the accuracy of the reading.)

PHAME is Portland’s longest-standing arts organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As we launch into our next chapter, your support provides the backbone of our life changing work. It creates the stability we rely on to keep operations moving forward, and the perseverance we need to innovate again and again.

Venue Accessibility 

Portland Playhouse and the Portland Playhouse Annex are wheelchair accessible, including restrooms.

Note: The event includes moderate to loud music, and animals (including dogs) will be present.

A quieter space will be available for guests who need a break. Reentry is allowed.

Portland Playhouse is located in Northeast Portland at the corner of NE 6th Avenue at NE Prescott Street.

There is street parking available as well as parking available in the parking lot at King Elementary school two blocks away.
