Originally from Texas, Kelly made the move to Portland in 2019, just before the pandemic, bringing with her a wealth of experience in nonprofit development and event management. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with organizations dedicated to serving the I/DD community, driven by a deep commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments. Kelly holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her academic background, combined with her hands-on experience, fuels her passion for service and advocacy, ensuring that individuals feel valued, welcomed, and empowered. Beyond her nonprofit work, Kelly embraces her love for hospitality and event planning. On evenings and weekends, she pours her creativity into Top of Vine Hospitality, the business she started with her husband, where she designs and executes memorable private events that bring people together.
