An animated teaser video for The Poet's Shadow, PHAME's original rock opera on stage at the Hampton Opera Center in August 2019. The original production includes artists with developmental disabilities at every stage of the process, not just performing on stage but also writing the libretto, designing the musical themes, and designing the costumes. PHAME artists also created the drawings that will be animated and projected onto the stage, serving as the primary set design element. The opera is the first fully staged PHAME production written by people with developmental disabilities. Tickets on same at www.phamepdx.org/poet

We’re thrilled to share this animated teaser video for The Poet’s Shadow, which opens at the Hampton Opera Center this week! The video incorporates drawings by PHAME artists which have been animated by local animator Ian Anderson Priddy. Projected animations will serve as the primary set design element for the opera.
