Anya (she/her) joined PHAME in 2016 and has had the privilege of helping shape and support the organization’s remarkable growth over the past decade. As Deputy Director, she brings a strategic mindset, a love of collaboration, and a steadfast belief in the power of arts education to transform lives and build community. A self-professed data nerd with a deep appreciation for the arts, Anya is passionate about strengthening the systems and opportunities that help PHAME students thrive.

Anya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Brown University and a Master’s degree in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art. In addition to her work at PHAME, she is a practicing painter represented by Portland gallery Nationale.

Favorite PHAME moment: When the lights came up for the first song of Stop Making Sense—PHAME’s 2023 rock n’ roll tribute to Talking Heads—I experienced such a rush of emotion. I knew it would be great, and yet still, I was blown away. Hats off to the performers, directors, and everyone who touched that show. It was brilliant in every way.
